Caprice Strikes Back Against Rafizi’s Allegation With RM10 Million Lawsuit

Local celebrity and influencer Ariz Ramli, better known as Caprice, has filed a defamation lawsuit against Pandan lawmaker Rafizi Ramli, demanding RM10 million in damages, a public apology, and an injunction to remove alleged defamatory posts from social media.

The lawsuit, officially submitted today through Caprice’s lawyer Mohd Rezan Ezra, comes after Rafizi allegedly failed to comply with two prior legal demand letters dated February 20 and 23, 2026, which sought an apology and removal of the disputed posts.

Caprice’s legal team is expected to serve the lawsuit to the former Economy Minister tomorrow.

In a public statement, Caprice criticised Rafizi for making serious allegations without substantiating his claims

“During his podcast on February 20, 2026, Rafizi did not deny his business relationship with Lee Choo Boo, the Chief Executive Officer of Itramas Corporation, who at one point held shares in Invoke.

“He also did not deny his involvement in the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) project awarded to Itramas Corporation while serving as Minister of Economy,” Caprice said.

The RM10 million suit reflects the seriousness of the allegations, which Caprice says have tarnished his reputation.

“Through this legal action, I hope to restore my good name and hold Rafizi accountable for the defamatory statements he has made,” the celebrity influencer added.

This development marks a significant escalation in the ongoing public dispute between Caprice and Rafizi, highlighting questions over the conduct and accountability of public figures in using social media to level accusations.
